Holly and Ginny competed at the NPS Top Spec Dressage Championships with Holly and Hamish scoring a very creditable 70% in the Preliminary Finals and 67.5% in the Novice Finals inspite of a course error due to the bell in the next door arena being rung which was the same sound as the bell being rung in Holly's arena so a little confusion arose! Ginny did a very creditable Novice test scoring 65%.

The dressage horses went to Moulton College last weekend and competed in the Shearwater young horse classes. Socialiser (Sammy) was 6th in his class which we were pleased with considering that he found the perspex on the judges box incredibly scary and was rather tense down that part of the arena. Zorpari (Zac) was 2nd in his 5 year old class so has now qualified for the finals at Hartpury. We have since taken them both to Rhett Birds and Addington Equestrian Centre and had a real practice getting them used to those scary judges boxes so our next competition on 30th April at Addington will not be a bad experience for them!

We have a busy few days ahead of us getting the 4 year old young hacks out to shows to ride round and accustom them to their new careers. I am delighted to say that Daldorn Racing Bow has now been measured at 158cm so could also do intermediate classes as well. Alfie (Times Square) and Beau (Racing Bow) are g0ing very nicely so I am really looking forward to their first shows. Alfie has just had two and a half weeks off to take advantage of that nice new spring grass. Having been in a racing yard before he came to me he has taken time to put on weight and adjust to his new career. He is a lovely ride so he should be a fab prospect for his owner/rider Steph to take on soon.

Toby - Ginny Duncans highland pony has been going fabulously and has now been enjoying his jumping so much that we are seriously considering adding to his curriculum and doing some novice m&m workers.
